For Our Friends, Inc. is a nonprofit, no kill, all volunteer run dog rescue group. We are devoted to saving dogs from urgent situations in NYC/Long Island, including strays, owner surrenders and those at risk in municipal shelters.  

All of our dogs are given full medical exams, including all of the necessary innoculations. Any treatment for illness or injury is provided. Every dog is given flea and heartworm medication on a monthly basis.  In addition, all dogs are spayed/neutered and microchipped prior to being made available for adoption.

We are primarily foster-based, but often board dogs short term at a cost of $20-28/day per dog at different facilities.

100% of all donations go directly to rescue more dogs or to support the dogs we have already rescued.  All donations are tax deductible and you will receive a receipt for every donation made.
